An Oracle Concerning Egypt
Isaiah Chapter 19
We live in most uncertain times. Underneath a thin layer of order and even optimism, our Western society is weighed down with disappointment, confusion and fear. God has something to say about that.
Around 2700 years ago Isaiah prophecied concerning God's purposes for the nation of Egypt. Interpreted spiritually, his words have serious and immediate relevance for our society and our lives today, and are thus worthy of careful consideration.
The Book of Luke is one of the most thoroughly researched, meticulously verified, and honestly written documents in history.
Whatever your view is about Jesus Christ, it's worth taking a close look at what Luke has to say about Him. Your life will never be the same again.

Generosity of Spirit
Society teaches us to "look after number one." So we try to protect ourselves by just doing enough to get by (avoiding the risk of failiure or being taken advantage of) Or we try our hardest to get things as good as we can for ourselves (even at the expense of others.) But ultimately this isn't a very satisfying way to live.
In this series we look at the famous story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, and we look at Psalm 112, to see how we can move beyond this slavery to self, and be set free to seek the good of others - generously.
In the original Greek, the Bible uses more than one word to describe love. By looking at two of these words, "Phileo" and "Agape", we can discover more fully what it means to love - and to be loved.
